New Brunswick Museum, Saint John, N.B., A44.4 hill jar 206 BC - 220 AD (Han Dynasty) earthenware, 24.1 x 19.7 cm
Chinese hill jars were shaped to represent the sacred mountain dwellings of the Immortals. This jar was part of the Royal Ontario Museum collection before Lusk Webster obtained it for the New Brunswick Museum, probably by trading it for cultural artefacts from her family's collection.
