English plates: "Ye Canterbury Pilgrims" c. 1902, and "Mrs. Bardell" 1882-91

These plates belonged to Katherine Matthew, and were given to the Museum by her daughter, Eliza.  They depict a band of pilgrims to Canterbury, and Mrs. Bardell, a character from Charles Dickens' The Pickwick Papers.
