"Samurai Warrior" "Courtesan" "Actor" papier maché female figure Sanford's loan of dolls and figurines, exhibited with those of Loretta Shaw, became very popular among visitors to the Museum's Oriental Exhibit in 1924. "All the world loves a doll," wrote a Saint John Globe reviewer, and even exceptions to that rule could "not fail to appreciate the extreme daintiness of the costumes."
