Sanford's loan of dolls and figurines, exhibited with those of Loretta Shaw, became very popular among visitors to the Museum's Oriental Exhibit in 1924. "All the world loves a doll," wrote a Saint John Globe reviewer, and even exceptions to that rule could "not fail to appreciate the extreme daintiness of the costumes."
