Given Dr. Manny's enthusiasm for local shipbuilding history, expressed in two books she wrote on the subject (Ships of Miramichi, 1960, and Shipbuilding in Bathurst, 1965), it is hardly surprising that she would have a half-model boat or two in her collection.
